Do I need a Mammogram?
The National Cancer Institute recommends that all women over age 40 get mammograms every one to two years. Mammograms are also recommended for women who have a family history of cancer, especially cancers of the breast.
How Should I Prepare?
If you are scheduled for a mammogram, arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment and report to the Registration Desk of the hospital. If you are not scheduled, if you have questions, or are unable to keep your scheduled appt., call Scheduling at (985) 730-6804. You will need a doctor's order to schedule an appointment.
